GREEK DRAMA and Oedipus: Background and Research

The assignment below is adapted from a Webquest found at http://www.greece.k12.ny.us/ath/library/antigone_webquest.htm

NOTE: ALL ANSWERS MUST BE THREE SENTENCES OR FEWER. YOU MUST SUMMARIZE AND LIMIT YOUR RESPONSES TO THREE SENTENCES.

ASSIGNMENT: For each of the parts below, answer the questions that follow using MLA formatting to appropriately CITE each source that you use to find the information.

DIRECTIONS:

NOTE: You may ONLY use the sources supplied. Any student who tries to use Wikipedia or Google or anything other than the sources provided will drastically lose points on the assignment. The assignment is not designed for you to find the answers by typing in a question. It is designed to develop your ability to cull information from appropriate sources.

  1. Open, make the appropriate changes to both the heading and the header, and save this template:MLA_WEBQUEST_TEMPLATE[2].doc to your English folder as "DRAMA_YOURLASTNAME_YOUR CLASSPERIOD" for example, if Joe Smith in 1st period were to save the document, it would be entitled "DRAMA_SMITH_1"
  2. Write your responses to each question, followed by an INTEXT CITATION of the source you used to find the information for that question. The first question has been answered for you.
  3. Make a "WORKS CITED" entry for each source used.
  4. Make an alphabetical list of these "WORKS CITED" for each of the sources that you have used. This WORKS CITED page will be the last page of your assignment.
